I first heard that in a Young Life meeting in the early 70’s. (Tongue in cheek, of course.)
I may be older than you. I remember it from The Andy Griffith Show. It was a line said by the character Barney Fife. And then he sang it, to the tune of “La Cucaracha”: “A-ca-[b]pul[b]-co, A-ca-[b]pul[b]-co”.
Still makes me laugh, remembering it!
I’ve long enjoyed Richard Lederer’s stuff. I think my favorite is his history of the world according to student bloopers, which includes gems like: “Sir Francis Drake circumcised the world with a 100-foot clipper.”
I’m often asked to sing solo — solo they can’t hear me.
Or a duet — duet outside.
